RESeT®

The foundation good leadership stands on. The physical and cognitive capacity to see clearly, re-orient, and let your team move — under sustained pressure. Not a wellness add-on. A structural advantage. Operational, not optional.

What it is

Three kinds of rest, treated as performance infrastructure.

Active rest. Deliberate movement and nervous-system regulation — capacity restored, not just paused. Actual rest. Sleep as a performance variable, not a lifestyle choice. Random Episodic Silent Thought. The unstructured state where strategy and insight actually emerge.

Most leadership development trains the skill and ignores the conditions the skill depends on. RESeT® works on the conditions. Registered, grounded in science, and presented plainly — we never overclaim.

Two strands, one methodology

Sophie and Mark. Complete alone. Stronger together.

Sophie Plato brings the body and the nervous system — movement, breath, recovery, the instrument leadership is played on. Founder of The Human Lighthouse®. More →

Mark Hardie brings the judgement — decision-making and leading in uncertainty, the work RESeT® makes possible.

Together, RESeT® Lab is the full methodology, both practitioners in the same room. It doesn’t add. It multiplies.

Three ways to work

One Day. Three Day. Coaching.

One Day RESeT®. A day with a senior team or leadership cohort. The recovery-and-performance foundation, made practical. Standalone, or the front door.

Three Day RESeT®. An immersive residential, built from the self outward. Led by Sophie Plato and Mark Hardie, with portrait artist Lizzie Patterson as guest practitioner.

RESeT® Coaching. One-to-one, for a senior leader under sustained load. The same foundation, built around one person. By referral.

The credibility

This is not borrowed expertise.

Mark spent twenty years in Royal Marines intelligence and operations, and closed that career as the Naval Service’s subject-matter expert on operational stress and professional ethics. Recovery, there, was never wellness — it was what kept people able to see clearly and decide under sustained pressure.

He is also a certified mindfulness teacher and performance breathwork coach — the practitioner ground under RESeT®’s regulation work. With Sophie Plato’s movement and nervous-system practice, recovery is treated as operational advantage: the capacity to re-orient when it counts. Because that is where the standard was set, and the cost of getting it wrong was never commercial.

Ask me what your leaders are running on.

Thirty minutes. Recovery and the capacity to think clearly, treated as an operational input — not a perk.
